Riverwalk Board Meeting -
May 21, 2014

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by President, Byerl Sawyer.

Quorum to conduct business established.

Present:

•  President -- Byerl Sawyer

•  Vice-President -- David Tapia

•  Treasurer -- Dion King

•  Secretary -- Tony Farina

Secretary :

•  Motion by Vice-President, David Tapia, to waive reading of minutes from previous board meeting of April 16, 2014. Motion seconded by Treasurer, Dion King. Motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer:

•  Current Financial Statement and Budget Report. Transferred $60 from Bank of North Georgia to Hamilton State Bank to avoid dormancy charge. Account balances of $63,024.51 in Bank of North Georgia and $25,170.50 in Hamilton State Bank.

•  Membership Billing Report; delinquencies and current status on collections. Eighteen members still delinquent.

•  Motion by Secretary, Tony Farina, to write off:

Credits of $1,050 in closing fees from Parkway Law Group and $1,175 in assessments.

Debit of $47,243.57 to Riverwalk LLC.

Motion seconded by Vice-President, David Tapia. Motion passed unanimously.

Vice-President:

•  Pool report and updates. Passed county inspection on May 18, 2014, will open May 23. To open May 23, 2014. Rules to be posted.

•  Motion by Vice-President, David Tapia, to discuss retaining a paid pool monitor. Motion seconded by Secretary, Tony Farina. Motion passed unanimously.

•  Discussed tentative pool hours for weekdays at 9 am to 10 pm, and for weekends at 8 am to 11 pm.

President:

•  Discussed overall status on buildings and grounds.

•  Review of RFQ for bringing all four retention ponds into compliance with both WSA and Federal

requirements.

•  Discussion on recommended maintenance activities.

•  Repair of flag pole. Motion by Secretary, Tony Farina, to contract Jordan Carter, not to exceed $100 for labor and $100 for materials. Motion seconded by Vice-President, David Tapia. Motion passed unanimously.

•  Repair of tennis court fence. Motion by Vice-President, David Tapia, to contract West Georgia Fence for $850. Motion seconded by Treasurer, Dion King. Motion passed unanimously.

•  Replacement of damaged tennis nets. Motion by Secretary, Tony Farina, to purchase two new nets at $395 each. Motion seconded by Vice-President, David Tapia. Motion passed unanimously.

•  Brush/limb trimming around new grass areas. Motion by Secretary, Tony Farina, to contract Jordan Carter, not to exceed ten hours per week and $75 per week. Motion seconded by Vice-President, David Tapia. Motion passed unanimously.

•  Repair of storm damaged power surge protector at sign. Discussed purchasing a new surge suppressor for $60, which Mike Redmond will install at no charge.

•  Motion made by Secretary, Tony Farina, to adjourn meeting at 8:21 pm. Motion seconded by Treasurer, Dion King. Motion passed unanimously.
